Nov 2016 House Price Infographic
Nov 2016 House Price Infographic indicates house prices are up on average 0.5% in the past month and up on average 5.1% in the past year
Key Findings:
The rate of house price growth and market activity continues to slow but there are signs of confidence returning after the EU referendum vote.
Mortgage approvals (a predictor of completed house sales) and homebuyer enquiries are up in the past month.
However, the stock of homes available for sale continues to fall which may make it difficult for buyers to find a suitable property to buy.
Housing supply and the affordability of homeownership will be of keen interest in the Chancellor’s upcoming Autumn statement.
