Under values property for quick sale

Didn't use them in the end. A young guy came around to value the house, didn't really pay attention to anything and then undervalued the property by £23k going by the price we ended up getting after 3 days on the market with local estate agent. He did however spend 2hrs telling us about all the £400k plus houses he had sold. Absolutely would not recomend. You also have to pay them after six months whether property sells or not. They suggest that if its not sold by then you should get a loan or a credit card to cover their fees...

Solihull Office Inept

Used their Solihull office to sell our Property in September 2021. Totally inept. Not only did they advise our “buyer” was a cash buyer that had no property to sell, they failed to update us until April 2022, having done no financial checks on the buyer. Had they done this, they would have found out what we had to find for ourselves, that the buyer had lied and had a Property to sell in the Czech Republic. Ultimately the deal collapsed costing us moneyPlease do not think the cheap fee is worth the risk. They are beyond incompetent

Ours was a complicated sale so it took a long time. Nick was our first point of contact and whilst knowledgeable and friendly his responsiveness and attention to detail was lacking. Kirsty took over and the process was much/improved. She was extremely helpful and supportive.

Complete waste of money

Complete waste of money. Agents totally unprofessional and senior team unhelpful. I kissed goodbye to £1000 to help line the pockets of another incompetent estate agents who never sold my flat. All estate agents are painful to deal and this lot no different.

Viewing unreliability and inconsistency

As a buyer I find PurpleBricks very unreliable. Note, this may vary from area to area and agent to agent.Firstly, booking direct if the owner is doing a viewing is really easy, and great communication. However the agents confirm bookings then reschedule, or don’t confirm until nearer the time or respond to messages. As a buyer living out of the area, I have to know my booking is confirmed to allow me to book my accommodation and book other viewings around it. This has meant due to the unreliability I’ve been unable to rebook at a different time and therefore not been able to view some properties.

I never used Purple Bricks before, but I must say that comparing to all other agencies it’s where we had the best experience. Ann-Marie Avila let us viewed a property we liked with such short notice and she was very friendly and actually spent time showing us around. We had our offer excepted and will be buying the house thanks to Ann.I would recommend purple bricks!!

Firstly Katherine Birtwistle their agent is amazing. Nothing too much trouble; knowledgeable; lovely personality; she gets things done and done quickly. She deserves 10/10. Agents like her make a company great. She got my house sold in quick time. She covers stockport and I would definitely use Purple Bricks again if I had her as an agent.

We had a good agent, the rest was a bonus

The online system is easy to use, the fixed fee is attractive but the final factor of a review rating will fall heavily upon the performance of your allocated estate agent.... And my guy Chris was top notch. Friendly, professional, helpful, available. All the good stuff you want and need.

Good viewing with helpful agent.

The agent (Emma Corcoran) was excellent. Knew the details of the property and area well which was helpful as we were “out of town era”, she was also flexible over viewing times and had good availability. Our only issue was with the online system otherwise this would be 5star.

no information as to how to cancel apppointment.Also i indicated i wanted a valuation as just curious but website assumed I was a seller and proceeded offering me an appointment for valuation which i dont want

Overall good experience for the fees

Overall good experience for the fees. Would not suit everyone as a lot of direct contact between seller and buyer. Cristal at head office was particularly helpful when things nearly fell through. Really grateful to her. Fantastic service from her. Also Tim Hartles local agent was very helpful with negotiations and key collection on completion. I would use them again definitely

Stay well away from this business

Stay well away from this business. Incompetent and not interested in selling your property. We have had an horrendous experience and it appears we are far from alone. Empty promises to get you to sign then expect £££££ for doing the absolute bare minimum. About time this business was investigated for fraudulent behaviour. Avoid avoid avoid at al costs!

There's alot to be said when you have patients

It was a bit scary with the way things are but we remained patient and we got the results. 24/7 contact and reassurance. The app is so easy to use and always in the loop with the up to date notifications

Property valuation

We had a valuation of our property carried out by Matthew Harrington and although we ultimately decided not to instruct Purplebricks, we found him very friendly, knowledgeable on the market and he gave us confidence in a realistic valuation. Would definitely consider using them in the future if all their agents are as good as Matthew was!

Jeff was a brilliant salesman

Jeff was a brilliant salesman, extremely friendly and comfortable to be around. I understood everything that he told me, but in the end I found Purple Bricks is too expensive at this time

Awful experience

We were the buyer of a house, and we never once spoke to the agent over the phone. Once our offer was accepted there was no communication at all. The whole chain fell through and we didn’t know for weeks and no one from purple bricks reached out. Our solicitor struggled to communicate and get the information required. This is a prime example of you pay for what you get. Awful. Would never use them or buy a house marketed with them again.

Purplebricks were the way forward for us. They were very professional and down-to-earth at the same time.We had a great team handling the sale of our property. George Andrews looked after our marketing and sale. He is very approachable and always available for any questions we have. He explained everything in detail and was with us every step of the way. Emily Weller looked after our viewings; this was an extra option, but it was worth it as she was very professional and gained us the sale.
