Moving house again? Here’s how we can help…
We love hearing feedback from our members. Here we ask Dearbhaile Bradley what she made of our service and how we helped....

When selling her house in Glastonbury two years ago, Dearbhaile Bradley was browsing the internet looking for a conveyancer when she came across the HomeOwners Alliance.
“The information that is freely available on the website was so good I decided to join,” she says.
In doing so, Dearbhaile benefited from the 10% discount on conveyancing offered to all members. “The thing about the discount is it means that it doesn’t, in fact, cost anything to join HOA because what I spent on membership I saved on conveyancing – and more,” says Dearbhaile. “The solicitors’ firm I contacted through HomeOwners Alliance were excellent.”
After various adventures, Dearbhaile decided this year to move to Ballycastle, Co. Antrim. She had spent three months volunteering at Corrymeela (at a famous peace and reconciliation centre based there) and fallen in love with the Antrim coast. Having found our site and membership helpful back in 2016, Dearbhaile decided to join again!
“Both times I have found the solicitor I found through HomeOwners Alliance to have been exceptionally helpful. Whatever issues have arisen for me in selling one home and buying another, the solicitors have been most supportive. This was not the case in the past (I’m on my fourth home!). I would recommend HOA to anyone buying or selling a house. It is inevitably a stressful business and the staff have been wonderful.
“The most helpful conversation of all was the one I had working through the pros and cons of buying this house. I just needed a sounding board to work through what I wanted to do. The person I spoke to really helped me gain clarity. There’s so much to take in and having a friendly and knowledgeable person on ‘tap’ to explain things made the whole process easier.”
Asked what she would have done without our help Dearbhaile replies: “That’s a good question and the answer is I really don’t know. For me, the service HOA offers has been invaluable.”
