May 2015 House Price Infographic
May 2015 House Price Watch indicates house prices are up on average 0.3% in the past month and up 6.3% in the past year
It has been a sluggish start to 2015 as UK house prices edged up 0.3% on average in the past month and the average rate of annual growth slowed for the sixth consecutive month to 6.3%. There are signs, however, of a modest pick-up in transactions and mortgage approvals. The supply of homes for sale remains tight with new seller numbers down 4% so far in 2015 compared to 2014. Uncertainty around the outcome of the general election may be weighing on activity.
